Building Toilets

First Line of Defense for Women

Women walk up to 3 kilometers in some villages to fetch water for the daily needs of their family. Using toilets or taking a bath is a luxury. There is no water at school for the children who return home for water and go to the fields for the toilet.
An average cost of building a toilet is around Rs. 15,000 - Rs. 20,000 (which is ~$200-$300). Our goal for this year is to have toilets built in every house in 15 villages that we have deemed most in need.

Teaching the Life Skills

Most of our efforts pertaining to this program involve studying new approaches and developing innovative ways to implement them. We evaluate our success in this field by gathering qualitative and quantitative data, and using that information to measure shifts and changes from our baseline measurements.

International Sikh Council for Women (ISCW) is focused on helping families and a source of much success for our Women Empowerment Non-Profit Organization. Get in touch with us today and see how you can lend a helping hand with this program.

The girl in the picture above is a daughter of single mother whose husband was a farmer but killed himself as he couldnt provide for his three daughters and wife. Now his wife is the sole earner of the family working in soyabean fields and her children need help.
This is just one short story, but there are millions who need help.

Covid-19 Relief Fund

The ISCW, working along with its partners, donors, and volunteers has been helping those impacted by the Covid-19 Outbreak.
As our Healthcare leaders work day and night to spread the safety guidelines and prepare to vaccinate the entire  nation, in the meantime, ISCW is working with its partners and volunteers and ensuring that food and safety supplies are distributed to the vulnerable communities.

We are doing this through our network of volunteers, and community kitchens set up to provide relief to those misplaced and lost employment and daily wages due to the pandemic.
